GießPur-600 systems are two-component polyurethane systems for making foams rigid and semi-rigid. After mixing with the manual agitator, both components begina foaming reaction leading to the formation of a durable foam.
System component A (often called a polyol) is actually a polyol mixture, antipersins, catalysts, stabilizers and foaming agents. Should be stored at 5-25°C and brought to a temperature of 20-25°C before use and mixed well. In particular, overheating of containers with ingredients above 30°C should be avoided,what can cause a dangerous increase in pressure inside. In that case it should be cool the barrel and eliminate overpressure by carefully unscrewing the cap. Component B of the system (MDI, isocyanate) is the so-called polymeric MDI containing mainly 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate. It should be stored at 10-25°C and before use, brought to 20-25°C. Particularly avoid chilling less than 10°C. Under these conditions, crystallized residues may precipitate, which, even after heating, may not melt and interfere with the foaming process and deterioration of the foam properties.MDI reacts with moisture from the air, so keep it in airtight containers.
